Singapore Exchange divests Scientific Beta to STOXX

On Jul, 8 2026, Singapore Exchange (S68) announced the sale of its wholly owned subsidiary, Scientific Beta, to STOXX Ltd.

The transaction is part of SGX Group’s strategy of active portfolio management and capital allocation, allowing the bourse operator to redirect resources toward areas that reinforce its multi-asset franchise in securities, derivatives and data.

SGX Group said it will retain its global multi-asset iEdge platform and continue to expand its index business as a core component of its wider offering.

Head of Global Financial Markets Ng Yao Loong stated that the divestment will enable SGX Group to concentrate on opportunities with the greatest potential impact for clients, partners and shareholders while positioning Scientific Beta for its next phase of growth under new ownership.
