Nam Cheong Limited reported an audited net profit of RM292.3 million for the year ended Dec 31 2025, up RM16.9 million from the previously announced unaudited figure after fair-value adjustments on investments and stronger contributions from associates and joint ventures.
Revenue was essentially unchanged at RM619.9 million. Year-on-year data were not disclosed in the variance announcement. No dividends were declared.
Performance was bolstered by a RM16.3 million uplift in other income, reflecting the re-measurement of previously held equity interests, gains from the redemption of other investments and foreign-exchange movements. Gross profit held steady at RM301.4 million after a small adjustment to the cost of sales, while selling and administrative expenses were reduced by RM1.0 million following lower recognised share-based costs.
Headwinds came from a RM2.5 million increase in taxation owing to under-provision of current-year tax expenses and deferred tax liabilities. The group also recognised an additional RM0.7 million in other operating expenses linked to fair-value measurement of non-current trade payables.
No segmental pre-tax breakdown, strategic initiatives, financial targets or market outlook were provided in the filing.
