As of press time, alumina, pulp, coking coal, rubber, lithium carbonate, polysilicon, container shipping index, coke, and copper declined, while soybean meal, asphalt, stainless steel, industrial silicon, aluminum, rebar, hot-rolled coil, eggs, ferrosilicon, iron ore, and fuel oil posted modest gains. Glass rose over 1%.

News Updates: Latest data shows that A-share margin trading balance reached 2.31 trillion yuan on September 8, with financing balance at 2.30 trillion yuan, both setting new historical highs for A-shares. A week earlier on September 1, the A-share margin trading balance of 2.298 trillion yuan and financing balance of 2.28 trillion yuan were the previous record highs.

09:37 Gold concept stocks performed actively at the opening, with Diana Concept rising nearly 10%, followed by gains in Xiaocheng Technology, Western Gold, and Chifeng Gold.

On the news front, London spot gold broke above $3,600 per ounce on September 8, reaching a high of $3,635 per ounce, setting a new historical record. Year-to-date, spot gold has accumulated gains of $1,000 per ounce, with annual gains reaching as high as 38%.
