REA Group Ltd shares surged 5.01% during Thursday's intraday session, following the release of its full-year financial results that exceeded analyst expectations.
The Australian real-estate advertiser reported a 14% rise in underlying annual profit, driven by stronger-than-expected listings volumes in the June quarter. New residential buy listings for the fourth quarter jumped 11% on-year, defying fears that interest-rate rises and tax changes would dampen activity.
REA also lifted its final dividend to A$1.73 per share, well ahead of the average analyst forecast of A$1.62. Revenue rose 7.2% to A$1.79 billion, while core EBITDA climbed 12% to A$1.09 billion, with management flagging further margin expansion and yield growth in fiscal 2027.
