Here are the biggest calls on Wall Street on Tuesday:

PhillipCapital downgrades Apple to reduce from accumulate

The firm says it has supply chain concerns for Apple.

“We downgrade our recommendation from NEUTRAL to REDUCE, with an unchanged DCF target price of US$290. ... .Supply constraints and rising memory and AI regulations weigh on the near term, and so far, there is no clear evidence that Apple Intelligence is meaningfully driving product upgrades.”

Bank of America initiates SK Hynix as buy

The firm says the stock is undervalued.

“We also initiate the ADR at PO of US$250, at a premium of 20% to the local shares, reflecting both the post‑IPO observed premium and consistent with Micron’s 2027‑28E P/E premium above Hynix’s local‑share multiple.”

Deutsche Bank upgrades Palantir to buy from hold

Deutsche Bank calls Palantir’s earnings results “exceptional.”

“With an even more‑reasonable valuation following another substantial beat and raise, we are upgrading our rating to Buy from Hold while maintaining our $200 TP.”

Bank of America reiterates Micron as buy

Bank of America says Micron shares are compelling at current levels.

“In our view, MU remains still attractive given: 1) Bear‑case earnings (potentially ~$100+) could still be far above historical peak (~$12); 2) Broadening LTAs [long term agreement] (50‑70%+ of capacity) improve supply/demand visibility, reduce price volatility...”

Oppenheimer downgrades Walmart to perform from outperform

Oppenheimer says it sees “less compelling outperformance” for Walmart.

“Ahead of earnings on 8/20, we spent time revisiting our investment thesis. Based on our work, we are downgrading shares to Perform from Outperform and removing our $140 PT.”

Piper Sandler initiates CoreWeave as overweight

Piper Sandler says the stock has plenty more room to run.

“CoreWeave primarily serves the very high‑end in the market, which are most challenged by energy and component bottlenecks.”

JPMorgan downgrades Nike to underweight from neutral

JPMorgan says the turnaround is taking too long.

“... and while NKE has begun to realize initial greenshoots from its Sport Offense strategy within North America & running category, the balance of the portfolio including Intl regions continue to face actions to reset the marketplace & sell‑through results remain challenged globally...”

Bank of America downgrades Duolingo to underperform from neutral

The firm downgraded the stock on valuation.

“We downgrade DUOL to Underperform from Neutral because, at 16x BofA’s CY27E EBITDA, DUOL shares are valued at a 6x premium to midcap subscription stocks, whose EBITDA growth is similar to DUOL’s.”
