China Southern Air (01055) announced its 2025 annual performance, reporting total operating revenue of 182.256 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.6%. Net profit attributable to equity holders was 855 million yuan, compared to a loss of 1.769 billion yuan in the same period last year. Basic earnings per share stood at 0.05 yuan. The group's operating revenue primarily derives from air transportation operations, which accounted for 94.79% and 95.09% of total operating revenue in 2024 and 2025, respectively. Passenger revenue constituted 88.65% of transportation revenue in 2025, while cargo and mail revenue made up 11.35%. During the reporting period, the group's total transportation revenue reached 173.314 billion yuan, an increase of 4.95% compared to the previous year, primarily driven by growth in both passenger and cargo revenue. The rise in operating revenue was mainly attributed to a 4.91% year-on-year increase in passenger revenue, which totaled 153.644 billion yuan in 2025. Total passenger numbers rose by 5.46% to 173.7 million in 2025. Revenue passenger kilometers increased by 8.28% from 305.966 billion in 2024 to 331.306 billion in 2025, largely due to higher production volume and growth in passenger numbers on international routes.
