China to Adjust Domestic Fuel Prices on August 14, 2026

China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) announced that international crude oil prices have experienced a sharp decline followed by volatile trading since the last domestic fuel price adjustment on July 31. The average price of the 10 working days before the current adjustment was lower than the average of the 10 working days before the previous adjustment.

Based on changes in the international oil market, from 24:00 on August 14, the prices of domestic gasoline and diesel (standard products) will be reduced by 230 yuan and 220 yuan per tonne, respectively. Companies such as PetroChina, Sinopec, and CNOOC, along with other crude oil processors, are required to organize production and transportation of refined oil products to ensure stable market supply and strictly implement national pricing policies.

Local authorities at all levels should intensify market supervision and inspection efforts, severely cracking down on any violations of the national pricing policy, to maintain normal market order. Consumers can report illegal pricing activities through the 12315 platform.
