At the Enterprise Plaza in Tianmu West Road Subdistrict, where the metro and railway station meet, transportation links reach in every direction.

The area has nurtured many homegrown livelihood service companies, and Hi Repair (Shanghai One Six Eight Network Co., Ltd.) is one of its representatives.

Founder Fang Haisheng started out in the Buyecheng mobile phone market and weathered the industry's transformation, with the company always rooted in this vibrant patch of Tianmu West, upholding a service philosophy of "professional, reliable, and warm" and carving out a distinctive path in the digital repair sector.

Starting in Buyecheng, Tianmu West Is a Lucky Land for Growth

Speaking of his entrepreneurial starting point, Fang Haisheng is full of affection for Tianmu West Road Subdistrict.

In the early years, he ran a digital business in the Buyecheng mobile phone market, mainly selling phones, and built up a reputation through honest dealings, setting a benchmark for trustworthy operation in a chaotic market environment, which led the market's Party branch to recommend him, and he gloriously joined the Party in 2013.

"I never imagined after leaving school that I could still join the Party." That trust deeply moved him.

"Tianmu West is my lucky land," Fang Haisheng said.

Buyecheng was once a leading mobile phone distribution center in East China, witnessing his step-by-step growth from an individual merchant.

Even after e-commerce disruption pushed the company to transform from traditional offline counters into an internet repair platform, it still chose to settle in the nearby Enterprise Plaza.

On one hand, the location is close to the railway station and Hanzhong Road metro station, making travel convenient, with some employees adopting a Jiangyin, Jiangsu to Shanghai two-city commuting model.

On the other hand, the subdistrict's sound business environment and refined market management give the company great peace of mind.

In the early days, the Buyecheng mobile phone market was densely populated with complex fire safety and public security conditions, and the subdistrict and functional departments used flexible guidance and standardized enforcement to protect merchants' space for survival and development, leaving a deep impression on Fang Haisheng.

"After the Suzhou Creek walkway renovation, the environment has gotten better and better," Fang Haisheng added.

After the company developed, it established an internal Party branch, with Fang Haisheng serving as its secretary.

At the same time, as vice president of the Tianmu West Road Subdistrict Chamber of Commerce, he actively participates in various chamber and building Party-mass activities, engaging in two-way collaboration with enterprises in the area to jointly build a building ecosystem.

Deepening Digital Repair, Building a Standardized Service Brand

In March 2015, Hi Repair was officially founded, targeting the industry pain points of opaque pricing and uneven repair quality in the phone repair market at the time, focusing on standardized internet digital repair services and pioneering a door-to-door repair model.

At its peak, the platform had more than 3,000 certified engineers, covering more than 30 major cities nationwide, offering door-to-door, in-store, and mail-in repair options with clearly marked prices and after-sales warranty upon completion, changing the chaos of the traditional repair industry.

In 2020, Hi Repair achieved a major breakthrough, becoming Apple (AAPL)'s first Independent Repair Provider (IRP) in China.

The Apple (AAPL) team conducted nine months of research in the Chinese market, spot-checking multiple third-party repair providers for the IRP program, and only Hi Repair passed all checks.

"We use original parts, and users can check their repair records on Apple (AAPL)'s official website," Fang Haisheng said.

After riding through market cycles, in recent years the company has proactively adjusted its business scale, shifting from asset-heavy direct operations to empowering partner engineers and offline stores across regions, operating steadily with a light-asset model while safeguarding service quality.

"In the repair industry, integrity is the foundation of survival. Even with thin profits, we cannot sacrifice user rights," Fang Haisheng said.

Integrating into Community Governance, Being a Warm Neighborhood Enterprise

Rooted in the subdistrict, the company also actively gives back to the community.

Relying on the public welfare market platform built by the subdistrict, Hi Repair has organized engineers multiple times to enter communities for convenient services: free phone cleaning, disinfection, and screen protector application for elderly residents, along with anti-fraud education to remind seniors to identify unfamiliar apps on their phones and guard against telecom fraud, truly serving community elderly and earning much praise from residents.

Under Party building leadership, the company actively participates in various subdistrict Party-mass and public welfare activities, turning its service capabilities into community convenience forces.

Rooted Locally, Expanding into the Home Repair Track

Looking to the future, Fang Haisheng said the company will continue to be rooted in Tianmu West Road Subdistrict.

Facing the shrinking phone repair market, the company is exploring a new direction: extending from single digital repair to integrated home repair and maintenance services, combining appliance maintenance, equipment repair, and old item recycling to create an integrated repair-plus-maintenance home service solution.

"Not limited to repairing phones, in the future, every household appliance and digital device in people's homes, big or small, can be repaired, cleaned, and maintained in one stop," Fang Haisheng said, adding that this path still needs gradual refinement, but the company will be based in Tianmu West, relying on years of accumulated repair service experience, continuing to uphold "professional, reliable, and warm," and striving to be a livelihood service enterprise close to ordinary people.
