On August 15th, the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area (E-Town) launched the "2026 E-Town Robot Consumption Festival." This year's event represents a comprehensive upgrade from the 2025 edition, with the special consumption promotion fund increased from 15 million yuan to 18 million yuan, with a focus on artificial intelligence and embodied intelligent industries.

The process for receiving consumption vouchers has been greatly simplified, now relying on a WeChat mini-program for one-click mobile number verification. The festival establishes four major special consumption scenarios. In conjunction with the 2026 World Robot Conference, a new 9,600-square-meter robot consumption district has been added, featuring nearly 100 booths across four main areas: brand displays, tech-cultural creations, specialty dining, and interactive entertainment.

Additionally, over 50 robot experience devices covering education, senior care, and home scenarios will be deployed, alongside special features like AR stamp-collecting check-ins and cultural merchandise sales. This year's festival also introduces three new industrial-tech study tour routes: AI Intelligent Exploration, Space Dream Pursuit, and Smart Driving Future. These routes connect E-Town's industrial and cultural landmarks, including Xinghai Piano, Beijing Rocket Street, Nanhaizi Milu Park, and BAIC Arcfox, with driverless minibuses providing seamless transportation for a "one-vehicle, full-experience" journey.

Simultaneously, JD.com has launched a dedicated Robot Consumption Festival zone, offering over 600 robot products with online-specific subsidies. Activities include product launches, flash sales, and live-streaming promotions. The consumption vouchers cover new smart hardware categories such as AI sensing devices, AI mini PCs, and heat press machines.

In August 2025, the world's first E-Town Robot Consumption Festival was held in Yizhuang, achieving total sales exceeding 330 million yuan, with over 190,000 robots and related products sold. It directly drove sales of over 70 million yuan, and JD.com's daily average sales of robots and AI categories across the entire site increased by 101.9% month-on-month. The world's first embodied intelligent robot 4S store became a major attraction, with orders for high-end humanoid robots and other products worth millions frequently occurring within 16 days, with orders over 1 million yuan accounting for 25% of the total.
