Air China Limited (Stock Code: 00753) announced that, effective 5 March 2026, Mr. Wang Mingyuan resigned as Vice Chairman, executive Director, chairman and member of the Aviation Safety Committee, and President of the company due to retirement. He confirmed there were no disagreements with the board, and the board recorded its appreciation for his contributions.

On 5 March 2026, the board appointed Mr. Qu Guangji as President, with immediate effect. Subject to shareholder approval, Mr. Qu is also proposed for appointment as an executive Director and Vice Chairman. Mr. Qu will not receive remuneration for these positions. He is 56 years old, qualified as an economist, and has experience in multiple senior managerial positions.

The company will hold an extraordinary shareholders’ meeting (EGM) on 25 March 2026. The register of members of H shares will be closed from 20 March 2026 to 25 March 2026 (both days inclusive). Shareholders whose names appear on the register by close of business on 19 March 2026 are entitled to attend and vote at the EGM. A circular and notice of the EGM with details on the proposed appointment of Mr. Qu will be published in due course.
