China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited (China Energy Engineering) has announced that a consortium formed by its subsidiaries—China Energy International Group Co., Ltd., China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd.—has signed an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the Taweelah C combined-cycle gas power station in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The agreement, executed with the project company established by AL Jomaih Energy and Water Company and Sembcorp Taweelah C Pte. Ltd., carries a value of USD 1.69 billion, equivalent to RMB 11.42 billion. The project will deliver a 2,600 MW dual-fuel combined-cycle gas power plant. Scope of work spans design, manufacturing, supply, factory testing, transportation, civil works, installation, commissioning, training, acceptance, warranty and maintenance services. Total construction duration is scheduled for 32 months.
China Energy Engineering confirmed that the contract falls within its ordinary course of business and is revenue-generating; therefore, it does not constitute a disclosable or connected transaction under Hong Kong Listing Rules. The counterparties are classified as independent third parties. Investors are advised to remain aware of related investment risks.
