Shenyang Chemical's Three Initiatives Secure Spots in Provincial Key Development Program

Shenyang Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. has achieved a significant milestone as three of its research projects have been officially selected for the 2026 Liaoning Province Enterprise Technological Innovation Key Project Plan. These projects are centered on the advancement of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) paste resin technologies, targeting specific industry needs and performance enhancements.

The first approved project focuses on the development of low-temperature plasticizing paste resin. This initiative addresses the automotive industry's growing demand for reduced plasticizing temperatures during production. By leveraging advanced vinyl chloride copolymerization technology, the project successfully breaks through the traditional lower limit for plasticizing temperature, achieving a reduction from 140掳C to 120掳C. This innovation provides essential raw material support for the automotive adhesive sector, improving efficiency and energy consumption in manufacturing processes.

Another selected project is dedicated to the research and development of cold-resistant PVC paste resin. This project tackles the common issue of PVC paste products becoming hard and brittle in severe winter conditions, particularly in northern regions. Through strategic enhancement of the flexibility within the PVC molecular chain, this technology imparts superior low-temperature performance to the final materials, ensuring durability and functionality even in sub-zero environments.

The third project in the plan involves the development of specialized PVC paste resin for metal hand molds. This research responds to a specific challenge faced by PVC glove manufacturers who have upgraded to metal hand molds, only to encounter shortened cleaning cycles. By utilizing micro-suspension polymerization technology to modify the microstructure of the paste resin, this innovation improves the strength of disposable gloves. Consequently, this advancement significantly extends the interval between required cleaning cycles for the metal molds, boosting overall production efficiency and reducing operational downtime.
