A recent job fair jointly organized by Yancheng and Tongchuan has brought together numerous enterprises from both Jiangsu and Shaanxi, providing a convenient platform for job seekers. "It's so convenient not to have to travel around looking for a job," said Zha Wenbin, an intern candidate, expressing his delight at the diverse range of positions available.
Yuan Niuniu, a graduate in electrical engineering, also attended the event and submitted her resume. "There are quite a few companies that match my major. After submitting my resume, I just need to wait for the online interview. This job fair has gathered many high-quality employers, making it very convenient for us," she noted.
The well-attended job fair is a practical example of the deepened labor collaboration between Yancheng and Tongchuan under the Jiangsu-Shaanxi cooperation framework. From April 23 to 24, human resources departments from both cities conducted a series of labor collaboration activities to enhance the effectiveness of the partnership, promote resource sharing, and leverage complementary advantages.
The initiatives focused on four key areas: employment matching, talent development, skills upgrading, and entrepreneurship support. These efforts aim to shift the collaboration from one-way assistance to mutual benefit, continuously strengthening the foundation of the Yancheng-Tongchuan labor cooperation.
The job fair served as a crucial platform for employment support. By addressing core employment needs and targeting key demographic groups, the event brought together 50 high-quality enterprises from both cities, offering over 4,000 positions across various popular industries. These opportunities were tailored to meet the diverse employment needs of Tongchuan’s workforce.
The fair yielded significant results, with more than 1,620 resumes collected on-site and over 120 individuals securing preliminary job offers. It not only helped address labor shortages in eastern enterprises but also established a convenient cross-regional employment platform for job seekers in Tongchuan, facilitating income growth and creating a win-win situation for both businesses and workers.
To tackle the imbalance between industry demand and talent supply, the two cities also held a symposium on school-enterprise cooperation. The discussions centered on deepening practical collaboration in talent cultivation, promoting closer ties between educational institutions and industries, and breaking down barriers between vocational training and market needs.
By establishing a sustainable school-enterprise cooperation mechanism, the partnership aims to cultivate skilled professionals based on industrial demands, extending labor collaboration from mere job placement to long-term talent development. This approach provides a solid talent foundation for industrial transformation and regional high-quality development.
Leveraging eastern resources, Yancheng and Tongchuan also advanced skill training and entrepreneurship support. Industry experts from Yancheng were dispatched to Tongchuan to conduct specialized training for local service sectors, such as the "Tongchuan Xiaofang Maternity Matron" brand, enhancing workers' professional skills.
Meanwhile, entrepreneurship mentors provided one-on-one guidance to startups in university incubators, addressing operational challenges faced by local entrepreneurs. A working group also visited community factories to exchange management experiences and optimize long-term collaboration mechanisms, ensuring the labor partnership delivers tangible outcomes.
After a decade of collaboration, Yancheng and Tongchuan have achieved remarkable results in labor cooperation. To date, more than 3,000 workers have been employed through the program, and over 2,000 individuals have received vocational training. Eight community factories have also been established, providing stable employment for 168 local residents, effectively boosting incomes and improving livelihoods.
Moving forward, Tongchuan and Yancheng will continue to deepen comprehensive labor collaboration, focusing on employment stability, talent cultivation, and industrial revitalization. By innovating cooperation models and enriching collaboration content, the two cities will contribute to rural revitalization and write a new chapter in high-quality regional development.
