Hong Kong's three major stock indices opened lower in early trading, with the Hang Seng Tech Index declining more than 2%.

Among the index's constituents, MINIMAX and NetEase saw losses exceeding 4%, while shares of Meituan, Xiaomi, Bilibili, and Tencent each fell more than 3%.
