Market Close | Domestic Futures Divergence Continues as SC Crude Soars Nearly 7%

Domestic commodity futures contracts displayed mixed performance at the close on September 24, 2026, with energy products leading the rally prominently.

SC crude oil led the upward charge, surging nearly 7%, while fuel oil advanced by over 6%. Synthetic rubber, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), and asphalt each recorded gains exceeding 5%. Additionally, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), pure benzene, and No. 20 rubber posted increases of more than 4%.

On the downside, lithium carbonate experienced a steep decline of nearly 5%. Platinum and silver futures dropped by over 3%, while red dates fell close to 3%. Palladium and live hog futures slipped by more than 2%, with the European container shipping index down nearly 2% and polysilicon losing over 1%.
