Jardine Cycle & Carriage updates stakes in REE and Republic Auto

Jardine Cycle & Carriage Limited said it adjusted its holdings in two portfolio companies between Jan, 1 2026 and Jun, 30 2026.

In Vietnam-listed Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (REE), wholly owned subsidiary Platinum Victory Pte. Ltd. bought 75,500 shares on Jan, 14 2026 and Jan, 16 2026 for a total of about 0.2 million United States dollars. REE later issued 33,881,317 bonus shares to the subsidiary in Jun, 2026. The transactions lifted Jardine Cycle & Carriage’s effective stake in REE marginally to 41.70% from 41.69%.

On Mar, 31 2026 the group acquired the remaining 40% interest in Republic Auto Pte Ltd from Trusty Cars Ltd for 61.0 million United States dollars, paid through the cancellation of a 2023 convertible note. Jardine Cycle & Carriage’s stake in Republic Auto is now 100%. Republic Auto’s audited net asset value per share stood at 71.96 million Singapore dollars as at Dec, 31 2025.

The company said the transactions are not expected to materially affect its net tangible assets or earnings per share.
