Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) has appointed Mark Wang as an Insurance Solutions Strategist for its Asia division.

Based in Hong Kong, his role will focus on leading the firm's insurance business across the region, leveraging his expertise to strengthen client relationships.

"By harnessing our firm's integrated and differentiated investment capabilities and resources, Mark Wang will work alongside investment and sales teams to deliver tailored investment solutions and build strategic partnerships with Asian insurance companies," an internal memo stated.

Before joining MSIM, Mark Wang accumulated 16 years of experience as a Chief Investment Officer (CIO) in the insurance asset management sector.

According to his LinkedIn profile, he previously served as Global Chief Investment Officer at HSBC Holdings PLC for over six years.

He has also held roles including CIO at Singapore's NTUC Income Insurance, CIO and CEO at AIA Pension and Asset Management in Malaysia, and CIO at ING Insurance in Malaysia.
