The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has announced that the January non-farm payroll report will be rescheduled for release on February 11.

Originally set for February 6, the data's publication was postponed due to a partial government shutdown. Funding was secured for several agencies, including the Department of Labor, on Wednesday.

The Bureau stated that the January Consumer Price Index (CPI) report, initially scheduled for February 11, will now be released on February 13. The release timing for the December Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) will also be adjusted.

The partial shutdown of the U.S. government concluded on Tuesday evening after the President signed a funding agreement reached with Senate Democrats.

In addition to the regular monthly non-farm payroll and unemployment figures, the January employment report will also include the highly anticipated annual benchmark revisions. These revisions are widely expected to show that job growth was significantly weaker than initially reported for the year ending March 2025.
