Shares of HANSOH PHARMA (03692) rose more than 3% in trading today.

At the time of writing, the stock was up 3.38% to HK$32.94, with a trading volume of HK$127 million.

The increase follows an announcement from the company regarding its drug candidate HS-20093.

The group announced that its self-developed B7-H3-targeting antibody-drug conjugate, HS-20093, has met the primary endpoint of overall survival in a pivotal Phase III clinical trial.

The trial, named ARTEMIS-008, evaluated the drug in patients with small cell lung cancer who had progressed or relapsed after platinum-based therapy.

At a pre-specified interim analysis, HS-20093 demonstrated a statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvement in overall survival compared to the chemotherapy agent topotecan.

Consistent benefits were also observed in key secondary endpoints, including progression-free survival.

The drug's safety profile was consistent with previous study findings, with no new safety signals identified.

Based on these positive outcomes, the group plans to initiate discussions with regulatory authorities shortly to prepare for a new drug application submission in China.

Detailed results from the ARTEMIS-008 study are expected to be presented at an upcoming international oncology conference.
