Volvo recently announced that effective September 1, 2025, Zhu Ling has officially joined Volvo Cars Asia Pacific as Chief Operating Officer (COO), reporting directly to Yuan Xiaolin, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Asia Pacific region.

According to his background, Zhu Ling graduated from Zhejiang University with a Master's degree in Engineering Mechanics, and obtained both Master's and Doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He brings over 17 years of automotive industry experience, having worked in both China and the United States, with deep insights and extensive practical experience in both global and Chinese automotive industries. Prior to joining Volvo, he served as Vice President at ZEEKR.

In his new position, Zhu Ling will oversee regional product strategy, planning and project management, advancing the complete process from product planning through product development to industrial production for future vehicle models. This appointment further implements Volvo Cars' commitment to deepening its regionalization strategy, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening product competitiveness. He will ensure projects remain aligned with global strategy while better meeting the needs of Chinese users.
