According to data from third-party agency Counterpoint Research, in the second quarter of 2025, Thunderbird Innovation topped the global AR glasses market with a 39% market share, surpassing Apple, and became the third largest player in the global XR market, which includes VR headsets and AR glasses. Thunderbird Innovation collaborated with the display chip company Pixelworks to develop the first AR display chip, Vision 4000. Powered by Vision 4000, the Thunderbird Air 4 series supports HDR10 quality for the first time, providing double the dynamic brightness, a brightness output of 1200 nits, and the ability to display 1.07 billion colors. In terms of audio experience, the Thunderbird Air 4 series is the first AR glasses to support B&O tuning, equipped with four speakers employing large-area high molecular diaphragm units and independent DAC chips. The audio has been tuned in collaboration with B&O acoustic engineers, and a new sound guide fin accessory has been co-developed with B&O. The Thunderbird Air 4 series introduces AI 3D functionality, allowing users to convert 2D videos to 3D format with a single click through AI analysis capabilities. Additionally, the Thunderbird Air 4 series supports AI converting SDR videos to HDR videos. Price-wise, the Thunderbird Air 4 is priced at 1599 Yuan, and the Air 4 Pro starts at 1699 Yuan. During the event, Thunderbird Innovation also launched the Thunderbird Air 3s Fourth Anniversary Edition, priced at 1299 Yuan. In addition to the Air 4, the launch also featured updates on Thunderbird V3 series AI shooting glasses and Thunderbird X3 Pro AR glasses. The V3 series has received Apple MFi certification for the first time and supports Apple Watch gesture control. The V3 series will also fully introduce the AI Agent store, offering rich AI capabilities such as real-time cooking guidance and travel tips. The Thunderbird X3 Pro officially supports 3K video recording and features AR mini-games like How to Train Your Dragon and Rhythm of Space.
