Chongqing Zhifei Biological Products Co.,Ltd. (300122.SZ) has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Anhui Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has received the acceptance notice for a drug clinical trial application from the National Medical Products Administration for its freeze-dried rabies vaccine for human use (ZFB-3 cells).

The vaccine is intended for the prevention of rabies. By administering this vaccine, it can stimulate the body to produce immunity against the rabies virus.

The vaccine uses the company's independently developed human diploid cell line (ZFB-3 cells) as the production substrate. Compared to animal cell-derived rabies vaccines, it theoretically has a lower incidence of local and systemic adverse reactions and poses no tumorigenicity risk.
