CGN New Energy Holdings Co., Ltd. has filed a Next Day Disclosure Return confirming another on-market share repurchase and providing an update on its outstanding buybacks.
On 5 October 2026, the company repurchased 432,000 ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices ranging between HKD 1.985 and HKD 2.03 per share, for a total consideration of HKD 0.87 million. These shares are earmarked for cancellation.
Including this latest transaction, CGN New Energy has acquired 13.33 million shares for cancellation between 1 September and 5 October 2026. The aggregate consideration for these purchases, calculated from the volume-weighted average prices disclosed for each trading day, is approximately HKD 27.74 million. The cumulative volume represents 0.31% of the company’s issued share capital as of the 28 May 2026 annual general meeting that approved a 10% buyback mandate (up to 428.99 million shares).
As at both 2 October and 5 October 2026, CGN New Energy’s issued share capital stood unchanged at 4.29 billion shares because the repurchased shares have not yet been cancelled. Under Hong Kong listing rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on new share issues until 5 November 2026 following the latest repurchase.
The board, chaired by Executive Director Hu Guangyao, confirmed that all buybacks were executed in compliance with the Hong Kong Main Board Listing Rules and other applicable regulations.
