Shares of Legend Holdings (03396) climbed more than 10% in Thursday's trading session, buoyed by growing optimism around its technology-driven business performance and a brighter outlook for profit recovery. As of the time of writing, the stock was up 10.31% at HK$21.82, with turnover reaching HK$372 million.

Market sentiment has been fueled by increasing attention on the growth prospects of Legend Group's AI infrastructure business, with the company's shares hitting a record high earlier today. Analysts at Guotou Securities have noted that Legend Group remains the primary profit contributor to Legend Holdings, while Levima Advanced Materials is entering a phase of capacity release. The industrial investment segment is also expected to benefit from a recovering capital market and successful listings of portfolio companies, suggesting that the company's earnings recovery trend is likely to continue.

In the first half of this year, Legend Holdings reported revenue of RMB 362.935 billion, a year-on-year increase of 29%, driven largely by substantial revenue growth at its subsidiaries Legend Group and Levima Advanced Materials. Net profit attributable to shareholders surged 219% to RMB 2.230 billion, supported by a rebound in the value of its industrial incubation and investment portfolio. Excluding one-off items, net profit attributable to equity holders reached RMB 5.812 billion, an impressive 834% increase compared to the same period last year.
