But Bin's Bullish Reiteration: Korean Leveraged ETF Assets Under Management Declining, "Golden Dip" Opportunity Looming?

But Bin has been vocal about his bullish stance, stating that the overseas deleveraging trade is nearing its end, signaling a "golden dip" opportunity. On July 30, the renowned private equity heavyweight posted on social media, noting that the asset management scale of leveraged ETFs focused on South Korea has shrunk to between $150 billion and $160 billion, with about 70% listed domestically. When calculated by leveraged exposure, this accounts for roughly 1.5% of South Korea's free-float shares.

Just a day earlier, on July 29, But Bin urged investors to buy aggressively during market downturns, claiming he had deployed all his remaining cash reserves. He had previously highlighted that the 2x leveraged ETF tracking SK Hynix had plunged 25.72%. But Bin emphasized that leveraged tools can amplify gains but also multiply risks, and as the tide recedes, the harsh reality of market volatility becomes clearer. He cautioned that such leveraged products require extreme caution.

But Bin identified SK Hynix as a bellwether stock in the current AI-driven market cycle. He believes that the short-term direction of the market will likely become clear soon, given the current pace of adjustments. Over a longer time horizon, only companies with continuously improving supply-demand dynamics and steadily enhancing profitability can navigate through multiple cycles.
