On December 21, McDonald's inaugurated its first outlet in Qinghai Province, located in Haixi New District, Chengxi District, Xining City. This marks the completion of McDonald's presence in all provincial-level administrative regions across China.

To facilitate the launch, the Qinghai Provincial Department of Commerce engaged in multiple discussions with CITIC Capital Holdings Limited and McDonald's China (Golden Arches). The department also supported McDonald's China in conducting site selection research in Qinghai.

The Xining municipal government prioritized the project, with the Xining Commerce Bureau coordinating logistics and Chengxi District authorities expediting approvals through a "green channel." These efforts ensured efficient project execution, achieving the goals of minimal administrative hurdles and timely operations.

Liu Rupeng, Director of the Qinghai Provincial Department of Commerce, highlighted 2023 initiatives to stimulate domestic demand, enhance consumption quality, and foster new commercial formats. He noted that these measures have invigorated local markets, creating fertile ground for brands like McDonald's.

The new store is expected to diversify dining options and energize Xining's consumer market. McDonald's China CEO and the Qinghai franchisee reaffirmed their commitment to delivering high-quality products and services, expressing long-term confidence in the region.
