A Singaporean supermarket chain has gifted pure gold coins to its employees as a reward for long service, sparking widespread discussion online. Employees who have completed 20 years of service received a substantial 100-gram gold coin, valued at nearly 19,000 Singapore dollars.

Recent posts on social media revealed that the company awarded 999 purity gold coins as long-service awards. The weight of the gold coins varies depending on the employee's length of service, ranging from 20 grams to 100 grams.

The news immediately ignited lively discussions among netizens, with many leaving comments praising the supermarket operator's generosity. Some even jokingly asked, "Is the boss still hiring?"

It is understood that the weight of the gold coin awarded is directly linked to the employee's years of service. Those with 5 years of service receive a 20-gram coin, while 10-year and 15-year veterans get 30-gram and 40-gram coins respectively. Employees who have reached the 20-year milestone are rewarded with a 100-gram gold coin, currently valued at approximately S$18,600.
