TOWN HEALTH (03886) has announced that the group expects to achieve a profit ranging from approximately HK$45.2 million to HK$71 million for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025. This includes an attributable profit to shareholders of between about HK$10.4 million and HK$16.3 million. This represents a significant turnaround from the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, during which the group reported a loss of approximately HK$158 million, including an attributable loss to shareholders of around HK$204 million.

The shift from a loss to a profit is primarily attributed to several factors: (i) a reduced fair value loss on the group's investment properties for the 2025 fiscal year compared to the 2024 period; (ii) a decrease in the impairment loss recognized on the group's interest in associates for the 2025 fiscal year relative to the previous year; (iii) a lower impairment loss recognized on the group's goodwill for the 2025 fiscal year compared to 2024; and (iv) the group's share of profit from associates for the 2025 fiscal year, contrasting with a share of loss from associates in the 2024 fiscal year.

Excluding the "net other gains and losses" item presented in the consolidated income statement, the group anticipates achieving an operating profit from its business operations between approximately HK$61.3 million and HK$96.3 million for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2025. This includes an attributable operating profit to shareholders of between HK$26.5 million and HK$41.6 million. For the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, the group reported an operating profit of about HK$70.9 million, which included an attributable operating profit to shareholders of approximately HK$25.4 million.
