Major US-Listed Chinese Stocks Mostly Rise in Early Trading with NIO Up Over 7%

The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index opened 1.3% higher on Friday, with most popular US-listed Chinese stocks advancing in early trading. NIO Inc. (NIO.US) rose more than 7%, Hesai Group (HSAI.US) gained over 5%, and Kingsoft Cloud (KC.US) climbed over 3%. Baidu (BIDU.US) and Pinduoduo (PDD.US) both increased more than 2%, while Alibaba (BABA.US) rose over 1%.

On the news front, the US delegation participating in US-Iran negotiations departed for Islamabad, Pakistan on the evening of April 10 local time. US Vice President Vance had already boarded the flight. Before departure, Vance expressed anticipation for negotiations regarding Iran and stated that US President Trump had provided "fairly clear guidance" for the talks.

Additionally, the US Labor Department released the highly anticipated March CPI data. US CPI increased 3.30% year-over-year in March, compared with expectations of 3.40% growth and previous growth of 2.40%. The core consumer price index rose 2.6% year-over-year, versus forecasts of 2.7% and prior growth of 2.5%. Month-over-month, it increased 0.2%, compared with estimates of 0.3%. Following the release of the March CPI data, traders increased bets on the Federal Reserve implementing one interest rate cut within the year.
