A Nasdaq-listed company, Hyperion DeFi, Inc. (HYPD.US), has confirmed an agreement with Skew Technologies. The partnership will see the deployment of 500,000 HYPE tokens onto Hyperliquid's HIP-3 platform to support the development of a perpetual futures market tailored for institutional clients. The company's CEO, Hyunsu Jung, confirmed this strategic move.
The deal, detailed in a news release issued on Wednesday, stipulates that Hyperion will receive an equity stake in Skew and a share of the revenue generated from listing services on the platform. The capital injection, precisely defined as 500,000 HYPE tokens, is designed to deepen the strategic partnership through a dual mechanism of equity ownership and revenue sharing.
Collaborative Business Goal
The two firms have outlined a clear business objective: to assist teams globally in building highly customized market solutions. This will be achieved by leveraging Hyperliquid, a Layer-1 blockchain infrastructure specifically focused on perpetual futures trading.
Function of the HIP-3 Mechanism
A deeper analysis of the HIP-3 mechanism reveals that the framework allows developers to deposit HYPE tokens as collateral to create new markets. This process grants the token a novel utility beyond simple staking. The design of this permissionless listing platform represents a significant extension of the Hyperliquid ecosystem into the realm of institutional services.
