BAIRONG-W (06608) dropped more than 8%, trading down 7.9% at HK$4.78 as of the latest update, with a turnover of HK$2.0895 million.

On the news front, BAIRONG-W issued a profit warning, expecting an unaudited net loss for the first half of the year ranging from 320 million yuan to 360 million yuan, compared to a net profit of approximately 201 million yuan in the same period last year, marking a sharp swing from profit to loss.

The company stated that it is in a strategic transformation phase, shifting its customer structure toward new scenarios driven by artificial intelligence technology, and that the new business has made significant progress during the reporting period. However, certain mature business credit industry customers proactively suspended some product operations to comply with regulatory requirements, leading to a substantial decline in revenue from the group's related mature businesses, placing significant pressure on overall performance for the reporting period.

It is understood that following the 2025 Financial Regulatory Administration Document No. 9, which constrained commercial banks' internet lending assistance businesses, the 2026 "Financial Product Online Marketing Management Measures" further tightened industry rules. The "mature business" mentioned in the announcement primarily refers to: AI risk control model output and decision-making AI business providing credit risk assessments for financial institutions; and AI VoiceGPT, which assists some financial institutions with credit intelligent marketing and intelligent operations.
