China General Education Group Limited (Stock Code: 2175) released its annual results announcement for the year ended 31 August 2025. According to the consolidated financial statements, revenue was RMB329.8 million (2024: RMB331.1 million), representing a slight year-on-year decrease of 0.4%. Tuition fees remained the major revenue contributor, totaling RMB301.0 million for the year. Boarding fees reached RMB28.8 million.

Cost of sales increased to RMB188.2 million (2024: RMB173.6 million). The higher staff costs, alongside rising repair and maintenance expenses, contributed to the cost growth. Gross profit was RMB141.5 million (2024: RMB157.5 million), with a gross profit margin of 42.9%. Other income and gains amounted to RMB12.7 million (2024: RMB19.4 million), primarily reflecting lower bank interest income and lower examination training activities during the year.

Administrative expenses were RMB69.3 million (2024: RMB67.4 million). Profit for the year totaled RMB76.3 million, down from RMB108.4 million last year, mainly attributed to the increase in overall costs. The auditor expressed a qualified opinion regarding corporate income tax as the College in Shanxi Province continues to seek confirmation of a tax exemption extension from the relevant authorities for the period beginning 1 January 2025.

In terms of operations, the Group remained focused on providing higher education in Shanxi Province. Student enrollment was reported at 19,276 for the 2024/2025 school year (2023/2024: 19,416). The average tuition fee was RMB15,580.2, marking a slight increase compared with RMB15,560.9 last year. The Group continued with construction projects for its Beige campus and recorded total capital expenditures of RMB415.5 million (2024: RMB272.1 million).

The Board did not recommend a dividend for the year ended 31 August 2025. The annual general meeting is scheduled for 15 January 2026. The register of members will be closed from 12 January 2026 to 15 January 2026 (both days inclusive) for determining eligibility to attend and vote.
