In the era of digital transformation for manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing has become a critical driver for enterprises to enhance competitiveness and achieve high-quality development. What innovations can intelligent manufacturing systems bring to production lines? Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) unveiled the 2025 "Unveiling and Commanding" project list for intelligent manufacturing system solutions, featuring three Changsha-based companies—Changsha Tianheng Measurement & Control Co., Ltd., Changsha Changtai Robotics Co., Ltd., and Truking Technology Limited—showcasing the city's deep expertise and innovative vitality in the field.
From high-end equipment to cutting-edge biopharmaceutical technologies, intelligent manufacturing is accelerating operational efficiency for Changsha enterprises. The national project targets industry pain points, aligning with the "14th Five-Year Plan" for intelligent manufacturing to build a tripartite system integrating smart factories, solutions, and standards. The 2025 initiative focuses on digital and intelligent upgrades in key sectors like raw materials, high-end equipment, consumer goods, and electronics, fostering specialized suppliers with core technologies and industrial expertise.
The three shortlisted companies exemplify Changsha's prowess in tackling industry challenges and driving technological breakthroughs. Tianheng Measurement & Control, a national high-tech enterprise and "little giant" in electromagnetic measurement, offers an automated magnetic property detection solution for electrical steel production. Its flagship product breaks foreign monopolies, addressing critical measurement bottlenecks in large-scale manufacturing.
Changtai Robotics brings a smart welding robot solution for the construction machinery sector. Its precision welding technology, guided by laser and AI decision-making, achieves millimeter-level accuracy without manual programming. Meanwhile, Truking Technology's biopharmaceutical smart factory solution features AGVs and automated sterile filling systems, operating at 600 units per minute with minimal human intervention. The company has evolved from a domestic equipment maker to a global pharmaceutical solutions provider.
Behind this industrial excellence lies Changsha's robust ecosystem. Since 2015, the city has prioritized intelligent manufacturing through policies like the "Three-Year Action Plan for Intelligent Manufacturing" and legislative support for engineering machinery development. By 2023, Changsha cultivated 11 top-tier smart factories, 1,767 pilot enterprises, and 13 national demonstration factories, solidifying its status as a hub for intelligent manufacturing innovation.
