Swiss Private Bank Taps Veteran Banking Executive for Top Asia Operations Role

Swiss private bank Julius Baer has announced the appointment of Pamela Tseng as its new Chief Operating Officer for Asia, effective November 16, 2026. Based in Singapore, Tseng will spearhead the optimization of core client experience and employee experience initiatives across the region. She will report jointly to Group COO and Executive Board member Jean Nabaa, as well as Jimmy Lee, Head of Asia and member of the Global Wealth Management Committee.

Prior to joining the bank, Tseng served as Global COO of Standard Chartered's Private Banking business, having previously held the position of COO for Wealth Solutions and High Net Worth Client Banking at the same institution. Before her tenure at Standard Chartered, she occupied senior management roles at Citibank in both New York and Hong Kong, and earlier in her career worked at Accenture in Singapore and Beijing. The bank also disclosed that current Asia COO Andreas Zingg will retire after a 23-year career with the firm, with Tseng working closely alongside him to ensure a smooth transition.

Her proven track record in orchestrating complex, large-scale operations, driving strategic transformation, and building high-performing teams will make her a valuable asset to the group.
