US equities delivered a mixed performance on Tuesday, with retreating oil prices lifting overall market sentiment. The Dow opened higher and briefly extended gains before reversing course under pressure from financial and technology names, leaving the three major indices to close with divergent results. The US dollar hovered near recent peaks, the 10-year Treasury yield held steady around 4.95%, gold firmed off its lows, and crude oil continued its pullback.

Hong Kong's three major indexes opened with mixed results today. The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.09% to 25,064.84 points, the Hang Seng Tech Index inched up 0.01%, and the State-Owned Enterprises Index fell 0.07%.

On the sector front, internet and tech stocks traded divergently, with Baidu climbing over 1% while Alibaba dipped nearly 1%. Memory chip-related plays opened strongly higher, with the Southern 2x Long Samsung Electronics ETF surging more than 7%. Gold stocks showed renewed strength, as Zijin Gold International advanced over 2%. Innovative drug developers were also active, with BEONE MEDICINES rising more than 1%.
