According to the Next Day Disclosure Return submitted on 2 February 2026, Standard Chartered PLC conducted a repurchase of 528,116 ordinary shares, representing approximately 0.0234% of the issued share capital immediately prior to the transaction. The repurchase price was GBP 18.3508 per share. Following cancellation of these shares on 30 January 2026, the total number of issued shares decreased from 2,254,370,803 to 2,253,842,687.

The announcement also revealed that 106,139,679 ordinary shares have been repurchased under the authority granted by a special resolution passed on 8 May 2025, equivalent to around 4.4903% of the total issued shares at that time. The repurchased shares were purchased on various trading platforms, including the London Stock Exchange, CBOE BXE, and CBOE CXE, with directors indicating their intention to cancel them as permitted by the 2025 resolution.
