Since the beginning of the year, as of March 13, the number of inbound and outbound passengers at Ruili Port has exceeded 1 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 8.7%. The average daily passenger flow has surpassed 14,000.

The implementation of various facilitation measures, such as the online declaration system for foreigner entry cards and the credit-based management system for cargo vehicles, has further stimulated cross-border activity at the port. This has fostered a diverse pattern of travel, combining family visits, cross-border tourism, and business exchanges.

This dynamic not only promotes the prosperity of border trade but also drives the vigorous development of cross-border commerce, establishing Ruili Port as a significant engine for deepening friendly exchanges between China and Myanmar.

To manage the growing passenger volume, Ruili's border inspection authorities have focused on smart solutions. By integrating precise inspections, comprehensive oversight, and data analysis, they have implemented a dynamic duty schedule. This includes adjusting staff allocation during peak and off-peak hours and establishing flexible channels for varying needs, such as tidal flow lanes, special passageways, and emergency assistance routes.

As a result, the average waiting time for passengers has been significantly reduced, leading to a continuously improved clearance experience.
