An exchange-traded fund offering leveraged exposure to Strategy (MSTR) has experienced another significant decline, falling more than 8%. As of the latest update, the product was down 8.13% to HK$2.26, with a trading volume of HK$1.6066 million.

The move follows recent disclosures from the company Strategy, which revealed it sold 3,588 bitcoins between June 29 and July 5, raising approximately $216 million. The proceeds are intended to fund dividends for its preferred stock.

Notable Shift in Strategy's Bitcoin Policy

It is noteworthy that just over a month ago, the company conducted a much smaller initial sale of 32 BTC. The latest round of sales represents a hundredfold increase in scale compared to that first transaction.

This marks a significant departure from the company's long-standing commitment, which had previously considered a "never sell bitcoin" policy as a cornerstone of its business model. That pledge has now shown clear signs of weakening.

Over the past year, shares of Strategy have fallen by more than 75%, while the price of Bitcoin itself has also retreated by over 40% during the same period.
