PICC P&C Appoints Zhang Daoming as Vice Chairman

In a significant leadership update, PICC P&C (HKEX: 02328) has announced new board appointments and the election of a Vice Chairman.

Following approval at the company's annual general meeting, Zhang Daoming, Lu Chen, and Hu Wei have been elected as executive directors for the seventh board of directors. Gong Xinyu has been elected as a non-executive director.

Additionally, Cheng Fengchao, Wei Chenyang, Li Weibin, Qu Xiaobo, and Xue Shuang have been elected as independent non-executive directors to the board.

At a separate meeting of the fourth employee congress held on June 25, 2026, Li Ling was elected as an employee director. Her term will commence upon election and last until the conclusion of the seventh board's tenure.

The newly constituted board subsequently elected Zhang Daoming to serve as Vice Chairman. His term in this role begins immediately and will also run concurrently with the seventh board's term.

Zhang Daoming, aged 50, currently holds the positions of Executive Director, President, and Chief Financial Officer at PICC P&C. He holds a postgraduate degree and an MBA, and is a senior economist.

His professional background includes extensive experience within the company, having previously served in various senior management roles across multiple departments and provincial branches, including Human Resources, Strategic Development, Channel Management, Compliance, and Risk Management. He has also held leadership positions in the Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Guangdong provincial branches. Prior to his current role, he served as Assistant President, Vice President, and Acting Head of the company.

He concurrently serves as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of PICC Financial Services Company Limited.
