CapitaLand Ascott Trust issues 15.2 million new stapled securities for management fee payment

CapitaLand Ascott Trust announced the issuance of 15.23 million stapled securities on Feb, 24 2026 to satisfy part of the management fees owed to its managers.

Of the total, 14.45 million stapled securities were allotted to Somerset Capital Pte. Ltd. at S$0.9415 per unit as partial payment of the base fee for Oct 1 – Dec 31 2025 and the performance fee for Jan 1 – Dec 31 2025, relating to CapitaLand Ascott Real Estate Investment Trust.

A further 0.78 million stapled securities were issued to the same entity at the same price as partial settlement of the base and performance fees for Oct 1 – Dec 31 2025 under CapitaLand Ascott Business Trust.

Following the transaction, the total number of stapled securities in issue rose to 3.85 billion. The managers’ direct holdings remain unchanged, while CapitaLand Investment Limited Group’s aggregate interest in the trust increased to 24.99% from 24.70%.
