Tang Min, Vice President of Public Affairs for Unilever Greater China, shared insights during a dialogue session.

Tang noted that Unilever has been in the Chinese market for over 100 years, with sustainability embedded in the company's DNA. "Making sustainable living attainable" is a core value of the company. She highlighted that Unilever has clear action plans and targets globally and in various markets, focusing on four main areas: 1. Climate. Unilever has joined the Science Based Targets initiative and committed to achieving net zero emissions across its entire supply chain by 2039. 2. Nature. The company is dedicated to building a resilient and regenerative natural ecosystem, ensuring no deforestation risk in all operations related to deforestation. 3. Plastic. Unilever is relentless in reducing the use of virgin plastics and increasing the proportion of recycled plastics. 4. Livelihoods. Unilever aims to assist small and medium-sized enterprises across its value chain in improving their living standards and supporting local development.

Tang emphasized that Unilever's sustainability goals and actions are focused on these four key areas, continuously innovating products, ensuring instant and deep interactions with consumers, and collaborating across the value chain with governments, NGOs, and all partners to enhance the experience of sustainability, making it more accessible and lowering barriers, thus facilitating a shift towards sustainable consumption behavior across society. The 2025 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference is co-hosted by the World Green Design Organization (WGDO) and Sina Group, with support from the Beijing Office of the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation (IFRS Foundation) and the Shanghai Municipal Huangpu District Government.
