XPeng Inc. has announced plans to achieve mass production of its first flying car model this year. The company has developed two distinct product systems, one focused on individual users and another designed for multiple passengers, and has already secured over 7,000 pre-orders, making it the global leader in flying car orders. The XPeng MONA L03 has been launched worldwide with a starting price of 123,800 yuan, and its pre-sale order volume has surpassed the company's previous records for any model during the same period.

On July 16th, the global launch event for the XPeng MONA L03 was held in Munich, Germany, where the latest progress on the flying car business was also shared.

According to an official announcement, XPeng Inc. has been investing in flying car research and development for the past 13 years and aims to commence mass production of its inaugural flying car this year, accelerating the transition of low-altitude mobility from concept to reality. The company has established two main flying product lines: the "Land Aircraft Carrier" focuses on personal low-altitude flight experiences, while the new eVTOL "A868" is designed for efficient, multi-passenger travel over longer distances, covering various low-altitude travel needs across different scenarios. To date, XPeng's flying cars have garnered over 7,000 orders, establishing the company as the global leader in this emerging sector. To facilitate the large-scale deployment of flying cars, XPeng has constructed the world's first dedicated flying car factory with a planned annual capacity of 10,000 units and a floor area of 120,000 square meters, marking a significant step into the mass production phase.

Europe represents a crucial market for the global aviation industry, characterized by stringent safety standards and a mature regulatory framework. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has already issued the world's first dedicated technical specification for eVTOL airworthiness certification, signaling a shift for the low-altitude flight industry from technological exploration towards standardized development. Looking ahead, XPeng anticipates entering the European and other international markets, aiming to transform flying cars from an exclusive experience into a new, accessible mode of transportation that ordinary consumers can purchase and use.

The company's second-generation VLA physical world model for its intelligent driving system has achieved integration for both China and Europe using the same foundational model, and efforts are underway to accelerate the adaptation for mass production in the European market.

Additionally, XPeng has upgraded its intelligent parking capabilities for European users, enabling the system to adapt to typical local scenarios such as narrow parking spaces in old city districts and unmarked parking areas.
