Bitcoin ETF Flows Turn Positive After $4.6 Billion Rebound

Flows into US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds have swung positive for the year as a recovery in the largest cryptocurrency revives investor demand.

The cohort has taken in about $320 million on a net basis in 2026, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Investors have poured roughly $4.6 billion into the funds since Aug. 19, when the US Treasury said it would increase buybacks of long-dated bonds, reversing outflows accumulated earlier in the year.

Bitcoin has rallied about 35% in that period to above $86,000, finally breaking out of a slump that had kept it mostly below $80,000 since February. The token fell as much as 3.2% to $83,520 on Wednesday in New York trading.

BlackRock highlights Coinbase x402 protocol as one emerging way agents to pay for online resources, including API calls. It also acknowledges that existing payments networks are adapting to agentic commerce.

The letter said the group’s board had reviewed its membership framework and determined that crypto exchanges did not meet its criteria, said the people, asking not to be identified discussing private information. Coinbase can appeal the decision, one of the people said.
