As the "double holiday" period approaches, the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau has recently launched a comprehensive special sampling and inspection campaign for agricultural product quality and safety ahead of the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, strictly controlling quality risks at the source and weaving a tight food safety protection net for the holiday season.

This sampling effort closely aligns with the consumption patterns of the "double holiday" period, focusing on high-frequency ingredients on household dining tables and popular holiday agricultural products. A total of 130 batches of various agricultural products were selected for quantitative testing. Among them, 100 batches were vegetables, 20 batches were kiwifruit, 5 batches were aquatic products, and 5 batches were poultry eggs.

The sampling scope covered agricultural product planting bases, family farms, and small-scale growers across 13 towns and streets including Fotang, Suxi, Shangxi, Dachen, Yiting, and Chi'an. As of now, 839 batches of rapid testing for agricultural products ahead of the "double holiday" have been completed, with a 100% pass rate.

A relevant official from the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau stated that during the "double holiday" period, inspection and sampling efforts will be continuously intensified, sampling frequency will be increased, and risk monitoring will be carried out on a regular basis with close attention to key areas, key categories, and key business entities, making every effort to safeguard the public's food safety.
