Antengene-B (06996) has reported a strong turnaround in its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2026, achieving a net profit of RMB216 million compared to a loss in the prior year period.
The company's total revenue surged to RMB513 million, marking an impressive year-on-year increase of 864.75%. Earnings per share stood at RMB0.34, reflecting the successful shift to profitability.
In a strategic move during March 2026, the company entered into a licensing agreement with UCB, a global biopharmaceutical firm listed on Euronext Brussels under the ticker symbol UCB. Under this agreement, Antengene has granted UCB an exclusive worldwide license to further develop, manufacture, and commercialize ATG-201, a CD19 x CD3 T-cell engager (TCE).
As part of the deal, Antengene received an upfront payment of USD60 million, with an additional USD20 million in near-term milestone payments due upon meeting certain conditions. The company is also eligible for future milestone payments of up to approximately USD1.1 billion based on development and commercialization success, along with tiered royalties calculated on future net sales.
