Prudential plc has disclosed that it cancelled 368,389 ordinary shares on Mar, 17 2026, following their repurchase on Mar, 13 2026 at a volume-weighted average price of GBP 10.7674. The cancellation trimmed its outstanding share count by approximately 0.0146% to 2,531,427,660 shares.
In addition, the insurer reported buying back a further 329,328 shares on Mar, 17 2026 via the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging between GBP 10.765 and GBP 11.03, for a total consideration of about GBP 3.60 million. These shares, together with 370,360 shares repurchased on Mar, 16 2026 at an average price of GBP 10.8406, are earmarked for cancellation.
Under the current shareholder mandate approved on May, 14 2025, Prudential plc is authorised to repurchase up to 262.67 million shares. To date, the company has bought back 75.71 million shares, representing roughly 2.91% of the shares outstanding on the mandate date.
The company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares until Apr, 16 2026, in accordance with regulatory requirements following the latest repurchase.
