In a recent development, the V2000CG "Kaireo," a 2-ton unmanned cargo eVTOL aircraft independently developed by AutoFlight, has officially received a Validated Type Certificate (VTC) from Indonesia's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). This marks the first eVTOL model globally to secure a foreign type validation.

This Indonesian VTC, recognized as the world's first "international visa" for an eVTOL, validates that the design of the AutoFlight V2000CG complies with the airworthiness standards of its country of origin, China, as well as those of the importing nation, Indonesia. This certification represents a historic breakthrough in the global expansion of Chinese advanced low-altitude manufacturing enterprises and provides a prerequisite for commencing commercial operations of the V2000CG in Indonesia.

As the world's largest archipelagic state, Indonesia comprises over 17,000 islands with relatively limited port infrastructure. Traditional maritime shipping is time-consuming and inefficient, while conventional air transport is dependent on runways and costly. There remains a pressing need for efficient solutions for inter-island cargo transport and emergency supply. The AutoFlight V2000CG is precisely tailored to meet the demands of Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asian market, with specifications including a maximum takeoff weight of 2,000 kilograms, a cruise speed of 200 kilometers per hour, and a range of 200 kilometers.

A representative from AutoFlight stated that the company will continue its collaboration with Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.,Ltd. (CATL) to export Chinese low-altitude intelligent manufacturing technology and operational solutions. This partnership aims to help more countries and regions with challenging geography and insufficient transport efficiency unlock new possibilities in the low-altitude economy, thereby maintaining a leading position in the global race to deploy ton-class eVTOLs internationally.
