LH GROUP (01978) Plans Joint Venture to Focus on Singapore Market Development and Operation of Selected Premium Japanese Dining Concepts

LH GROUP (01978) announced that its subsidiary has entered into a joint venture agreement with FairPrice Group Food Services Pte. Ltd., Singapore's largest supermarket and fast-moving consumer goods retailer, to establish Gohan Concepts Pte. Ltd. Under the agreement, the company's subsidiary and FairPrice Group will hold 49% and 51% equity stakes in the joint venture, respectively. The joint venture will focus on developing and operating selected premium Japanese dining concepts in the Singapore market. FairPrice Group possesses an extensive retail network and strong operational capabilities in Singapore. This collaboration will combine the group's years of specialized experience in Japanese brand franchising and its strength as one of Hong Kong's leading operators of Japanese franchise brands. Leveraging its deep expertise in brand introduction and franchise management, the joint venture will co-develop and operate selected premium Japanese dining brands to expand its business footprint. The joint venture will first establish its presence in Singapore and will introduce the well-known yakitori chain brand "Torikizoku," owned by the Japanese listed company Eternal Hospitality Group Co., Ltd. (TSE Prime: 3193). Building on the group's long-standing professional advantages in the Japanese market, the joint venture plans to gradually introduce more renowned Japanese brands, creating high-quality and promising unique dining experiences. Based on successful development in the Singapore market, the group aims to further extend its operational model to other Southeast Asian countries, introducing its portfolio of premium Japanese dining brands to regional consumers, thereby driving deeper business development for the group in Southeast Asia. The board of directors believes this cooperation serves as a strategic foundation to enhance the group's capabilities in Southeast Asia and promote its operational model to more international markets, creating sustainable long-term value for the company's shareholders.
