China Starch Repurchases 3.77 Million Shares; Cumulative Buy-backs Reach 148 Million, Equal to 2.48% of Share Capital

China Starch Holdings Limited disclosed in its Next Day Disclosure Return (16 July 2026) that it repurchased 3.77 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 16 July 2026. The shares were bought back on-market at prices ranging from HKD 0.174 to HKD 0.176, for a total consideration of HKD 0.66 million, implying an average repurchase price of roughly HKD 0.175 per share.

Issued share capital stood unchanged at 5.96 billion shares as at 16 July 2026 because the repurchased shares have not yet been cancelled. Since 24 March 2026, the company has bought back 148.00 million shares that remain pending cancellation, representing about 2.48% of the 5.96 billion shares outstanding on 15 July 2026.

Under the general mandate approved on 12 May 2026, China Starch is authorised to repurchase up to 596.45 million shares. To date, 124.10 million shares—2.08% of the share base on the mandate date—have been repurchased under this authority, leaving capacity for a further 472.35 million shares.

Pursuant to Hong Kong Stock Exchange rules, the company is subject to a moratorium on issuing new shares or disposing of treasury shares until 15 August 2026.
