China Power's Subsidiary Launches RMB 1 Billion Medium-Term Note for M&A Funding

China Power International Development Ltd (HKG: 2380) has announced that its non-wholly owned subsidiary, Spic Hydropower Co., Ltd. (SH: 600292), listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, has successfully issued medium-term notes with an aggregate principal amount of RMB 1 billion within the People's Republic of China.

This issuance follows approval from the National Association of Financial Market Institutional Investors, with the registration validity period spanning two years commencing from July 31, 2026. The notes were issued on August 21, 2026, under the designation "2026 First Phase Medium-Term Notes (M&A)".

Key terms of the issuance include a principal amount of RMB 1 billion, a maturity period of five years, and an annual coupon rate of 1.74%. The proceeds are intended to support merger and acquisition activities as part of the company's strategic growth initiatives.
